As a solo performer, whether with his acoustic guitar or with party atnthemed backing tracks, Paul plays live across the south coast and London in venues both large & small.
Whether it’s a quiet café/coffee shop, busy restaurant or lively bar/pub, he’s developed a repertoire to suit the venue and a style to interact with the clientele to help create the atmosphere required.
His set contains songs from the 60’s right through to present day hits with songs from artists as diverse as Van Morrison, Joni Mitchell, Prince, Stereophonics, Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Sting, The Beatles, Queen, Tears For Fears, Foo Fighters, Marvin Gaye, Harry Styles, David Gray, Daft Punk, Green Day, Earth Wind & Fire and many, many more. He has 2 rules :-
- You gotta to know the song in the first 8 bars
- You gotta be able to sing the chorus
He says “I don’t have a fixed setlist – it’s all about the people in front of me and what the organiser wants. You’ve got to be flexible and responsive to the audience so that they go away saying “Didn’t we have a great time””
He’s also highly in demand for private functions including birthdays, wedding & drinks receptions, private garden & house parties. Again the repertoire fits the occasion & atmosphere – he works with organisers to enhance their plans prior to the event including learning specific songs if needed.
Whether it’s background music to create a relaxed mood or full blown singalongs to get the party started he’s got it ‘covered’.
